The Team
The people behind OSINT613.
Founder & Lead Reporter
Jay founded Open Source Intel (OSINT613) in January 2020 and has spent years monitoring and reporting on Middle East developments, military operations, and geopolitical events using open-source intelligence methods. Originally from New York and now based in northern Israel, his coverage deepened dramatically following the October 7, 2023 Hamas invasion of Israel.
Under his leadership, @Osint613 has grown to over 1.5 million followers on X, becoming one of the most-followed open-source intelligence accounts covering the Middle East. His reporting draws on a network of field sources, satellite imagery, official communications, and real-time signals, published as events develop and verified against multiple independent sources.
Jay's work is regularly followed by reporters at Bloomberg, Reuters, CNN, Fox News, and the New York Post, and has been cited in coverage of major regional developments. His work has been quoted by the highest echelon of government.
Chief Operating Officer
Simcha Brodsky came to Open Source Intel from the open-source intelligence community, where he spent years building OSINT tools and monitoring systems as an independent practitioner before joining the operation in December 2025.
Based in Israel, he now runs the day-to-day business behind the reporting: operations, editorial workflow, content production, partnerships, and the expansion of Open Source Intel into a multi-platform news and intelligence operation. He built many of the internal tools the team relies on today, including automated source aggregation bots that feed real-time intelligence from dozens of regional channels into the newsroom. He trains and manages the contributor network, oversees the daily newsletter and video production pipelines, leads creative design and brand direction, and handles the business development side of the operation, from think tank partnerships to commercial deals.
Research & Intelligence Partners
Open Source Intel works with a network of analysts and research partners who contribute original intelligence, regional expertise, and subject-matter analysis.
