Satellite imagery has documented two new oil slicks in the Persian Gulf near the islands of Qeshm and Sirri. The oil apparently leaked from a cargo ship struck in the attack. Efforts to tow the vessel and contain the spill are being held up by the absence of access approval from authorities in Iran.
