A Financial Times report says the war with Iran has exposed sharp divisions inside NATO, after several European states reportedly resisted US requests to use bases on their territory.

Eastern members, including Poland and the Baltic states, are said to have reacted angrily to the stance of France, Spain, Italy, and initially the United Kingdom.
