UPDATED MAP: IRAN REPORTED STRIKES AND AIR DEFENSE ACTIVITIES LAST NIGHT
Tabriz, Urmia, Baneh, Kabudarahang and Kangavar sit along Iran’s northwestern frontier, roughly 1,000 kilometers from the Strait of Hormuz. None of those locations threaten commercial shipping.
Then move south. Mahshahr, Behbahan, Bushehr, Khormoj, the Bidboland refinery, the military section of Bushehr Airport, and a power substation beside the Bushehr nuclear plant. Those are critical energy and economic infrastructure.
Around Tehran, air defenses were active across the west, east and northeast, with reported strikes on the outskirts of the capital. Iranian officials insisted Tehran itself was not hit.
