U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested Issa Seyed Hashemi, his wife Maryam Tahmasbi, and their son Seyed Mobin Hashemi in Los Angeles.

Hashemi is the son of Massoumeh Ebtekar, an Iranian regime politician who served as spokesperson during the 1979 Iran hostage crisis.

All three held green cards. ICE said their presence posed "a clear threat to national security and foreign policy." Their green cards have been revoked.
