HEZBOLLAH ATTACK ON IDF: WHAT WE KNOW SO FAR

Preliminary reporting: At least 12 wounded (some reporting of a fallen IDF soldier) after an explosive device detonated on IDF soldiers in the southern Lebanese village of Majdal Zoun. Israel says the bomb, described as a booby trapped structure, was planted by Hezbollah.

In response, the IDF issued an evacuation warning for al Mansouri before carrying out multiple airstrikes on other Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon.

The attack happened as U.S. mediated talks between Israel and Lebanon are underway in Rome on a longer term arrangement for southern Lebanon.
