If our American partners can ensure Russia's real willingness to stop this war of destruction and do so truly and in the long term, Ukraine will take its own de-escalation steps.
Peace is needed. Energy, food transportation routes, and critical infrastructure – all of this must be part of the discussion on ending the strikes.
A strong, fair solution is needed, and not just for "elections," but for all time. We are waiting for specifics from our partners.
Zelensky: "Kyiv is ready to halt its strikes provided partners can ensure Russia genuinely refrains from hitting energy facilities, infrastructure and food supply routes."
Zelensky: "We are working with manufacturers on a new generation of drone interceptors to counter Russian jet-powered Shahed drones. Development and testing are underway."
Zelensky's departure for Norway was delayed Tuesday after authorities closed the country's airspace over a drone alert. Flight restrictions were lifted once a Russian drone came down on Moldovan territory.
Zelenskyy: Ukraine was prepared to receive the American delegation by plane, with both Boryspil and Zhulyany airports ready. Russia then launched strikes on the runways of both airports. Following the strikes, Witkoff and Kushner chose to travel by train instead.
Zelensky: "Our Ukrainian anti-ballistic system will be ready in the near future."
He said the American side will increase Patriot anti-ballistic missile production next year. Even after the war ends, "God willing," he expects Ukraine will still need them.
"We came to see Putin first; we needed to hear where he stood. We had good concrete conversations with him, which we advised Zelensky about. We are confident that there will be a good resolution here."
Ukrainian President Zelensky: "I hope the American peace negotiators will return to Kiev again."
U.S. and Ukrainian teams discussed the supply of air defense missiles and a winter support package. Americans and Europeans, he said, have noticed Ukraine has grown stronger.

"Today you performed even better than Patriot systems for our citizens who are in the capital. Thank you, come more often. And our people will have the opportunity to live a little longer."

This is the right and perfectly logical response to the facts as they are – to everything stemming from the war Putin doesn’t want to end. Lives must be protected. Ukraine has already officially informed international organizations and our partners about the real situation in Russian airspace.
