Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs:

"HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani held Friday a telephone call with HH Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud.

During the call, they reviewed bilateral relations and ways to support and strengthen them, and discussed mediation efforts between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

In this context, both sides expressed their great satisfaction with the progress achieved in the negotiations and the announcement by the Pakistani mediation team of reaching the final text of the peace agreement. They also expressed their hope that the American and Iranian sides would sign the agreement soon.

Furthermore, the two sides affirmed their full support for the ongoing good offices to address all outstanding issues through dialogue and peaceful means to consolidate regional and international security and stability and enhance the prospects for sustainable peace in the region."

Qatar’s Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani spoke with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif following his visit to the U.S.

According to Qatar’s Foreign Ministry, the two leaders discussed mediation efforts aimed at securing a ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran and reducing regional tensions.

Al Thani praised Pakistan’s role in the talks, voiced Qatar’s full support for Sharif’s efforts, and urged all sides to engage constructively to advance negotiations and reach a comprehensive agreement for lasting regional peace.

"There are Iranian attempts to drag regional countries into this conflict. Expanding the circle of conflict does not serve the region’s security and stability. Iran’s response to Israeli aggression was a direct response against Qatar. The Iranian strike in Ras Laffan has significant implications for energy supply. Qatar always calls for dialogue, but unfortunately wisdom is lacking these days. Iranian claims that it is targeting only American interests are rejected and unjustified."
