"The historical memory of America's rulers is as short as the lifespan of their commitments. Trampling the latest memorandum of understanding and returning to an aggressive posture only strengthen our resolve to stand firm. As long as the Strait of Hormuz remains under our undisputed control, their hegemonic dreams in the region will not be realized. To try again what has already been tried, that is a mistake."
