Lebanese President Joseph Aoun met U.S. Ambassador Michel Issa in Beirut this morning ahead of Aoun's upcoming visit to Washington, made at Trump's invitation.

Aoun listed a southern Lebanon ceasefire, pressure on Israel to halt military operations, and adherence to the Washington framework as his top priorities.

Issa said an American military delegation will arrive in Beirut within days to coordinate implementation as Israeli forces withdraw from the designated pilot areas.

U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon, Michel Isaa:

If President Aoun visits President Trump, there is no loss for Lebanon in that. During such a meeting, Aoun will present Lebanon's demands to Trump and Netanyahu, and then negotiations will begin.

I don't understand why some people are describing this as a concession or a loss. What, is Netanyahu a boogeyman? He is the second negotiator.
