If President Aoun visits President Trump, there is no loss for Lebanon in that. During such a meeting, Aoun will present Lebanon's demands to Trump and Netanyahu, and then negotiations will begin.

I don't understand why some people are describing this as a concession or a loss. What, is Netanyahu a boogeyman? He is the second negotiator.

U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon Michel Issa met with Lebanon's President Aoun and Parliament Speaker Berri in Beirut today after meeting with President Trump and Secretary Rubio in Washington.

U.S. Embassy: "Ambassador Issa reaffirmed U.S. support for efforts to restore Lebanon's sovereignty and the state's monopoly of arms."

Official Lebanese sources told Saudi outlet Al-Hadath that they learned the date of negotiations with Israel from Trump's tweet. They say no official confirmation on the date has been received. Trump spoke yesterday with Rubio and U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon Michel Issa on Lebanon and the ceasefire.

Israeli Ambassador Yehiel Leiter will meet with Lebanon's ambassador in Washington tomorrow.

The meeting will be held at the State Department. Michel Issa, the U.S. ambassador to Lebanon, and Michael Needham, Rubio's senior adviser, will attend on the American side.
