Lebanese President Aoun on the next round of U.S.-mediated talks with Israel: may be decisive.

Lebanese President Aoun:

We are in favor of a ceasefire and in favor of any country that will help us achieve it - including Iran.

Lebanon's President Aoun says he will not meet with Netanyahu until an agreement to end the war is reached.

Lebanese President Aoun: "We have no choice but to negotiate with Israel."

An official Lebanese source told Al Jazeera that Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri conveyed Hezbollah's commitment to a full mutual ceasefire to President Aoun and the American ambassador.

President Aoun met with Lebanon's military delegation before it departed for Pentagon meetings Friday.

Hezbollah MP Ihab Hamada: A meeting between Lebanese President Aoun and Netanyahu would mark "a farewell to the Lebanon we know." He warned Lebanon would then be treated "as we deal with Israel."

Lebanese President Aoun on a potential meeting with Netanyahu:

"We must first reach a security agreement and stop Israeli attacks against us before raising the issue of a meeting between us."

Lebanese President Aoun says ceasefire extension talks are ongoing and that Lebanon is pushing for Israeli withdrawal, a halt to Israeli attacks, return of Lebanese detainees, army deployment to the border, and reconstruction.

Aoun called combined U.S. and Arab support a "one-time opportunity we cannot afford to miss."

Lebanese presidency:

Trump told President Aoun he is committed to Lebanon's request to bring about a ceasefire as soon as possible.

Al Monitor reports President Aoun canceled his afternoon schedule, indicating a call with Netanyahu is expected later, possibly with Secretary Rubio joining.

This comes despite all the Lebanese rumors that no call has been scheduled.

Hussein Al-Hajj Hassan, Hezbollah MP, says the Iranian ambassador will not leave Lebanon. He says the decision rests solely with President Michel Aoun, as the ambassador has not submitted his credentials.
