French FM Barrot: France will veto lifting UN Security Council sanctions on Iran until nuclear talks meet its expectations and address Tehran's ballistic missiles and proxy forces.

France is still working to convene an international conference to support the Lebanese army

French FM Jean-Noël Barrot urged the U.S. to pressure Israel to halt hostilities in Lebanon.

French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot: "France has asked the public prosecutor to open an investigation into the treatment of French citizens who were part of the last flotilla to Gaza. Based on a report from our consul general in Turkey, I was informed of sexual violence, exposure to cold, repeated beatings and humiliations against French citizens. All of these acts may constitute criminal offenses, so I decided yesterday to refer the matter to the public prosecutor."

French FM Barrot: Ben Gvir is banned from entering France. The ban follows his release of footage showing detained Gaza Freedom Flotilla members being roughly handled in an Israeli facility.

The French Foreign Minister:

"Whatever our views on this flotilla - and we have already expressed our opposition to this step several times - our citizens participating in it must be treated with respect and be released without delay"

118 countries now back the France-Mexico initiative to regulate the UN Security Council veto after eleven African nations signed on at the Africa Forward summit in Kenya.

French FM Barrot urged remaining holdouts to join, calling for an end to "the abusive use of the right of veto."

FRANCE WARNS ISRAEL: SANCTIONS COMING WITHIN DAYS 🔴

French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot:

“If the Israeli government does not change its policies in Gaza, the West Bank, and Lebanon, we cannot act as if nothing has happened.”

Sanctions against Israel are currently being blocked due to Hungary's veto.

However, I believe this veto will be lifted (with new Hungary PM) and that these sanctions will be implemented in the coming days.”

France’s Foreign Minister, Barrot: “We strongly condemn Israel’s strikes in Lebanon; Lebanon must also be part of the ceasefire agreement.”
