VP Vance tells Joe Rogan people “within Israel’s system” are trying to prolong the war “not toward any objective, but just indefinitely,” and cites a Time magazine article he says details an alleged influence campaign aimed at derailing U.S. negotiations with Iran.

“There are some people within their system (Israel), we know beyond a shadow of a doubt, who are manipulating and trying to change American public opinion to keep the war going on indefinitely. Not toward any objective, but just indefinitely.”

“But I definitely think you have seen this very discreet, extremely well funded campaign to try to derail the negotiation and try to derail the deal.”

“It’s social media posts. It’s, you know, they’re leaking to reporters. They are attacking, obsessively saying that we should not be negotiating with Iran, that we should just keep the military campaign going indefinitely.”

“Go to hell. I’m going to do what I have to do for the American people. I represent Americans first.”

JD Vance on Iran:

If the Iranian people want to rise up and change their government, that's up to them.

But we're not going to send 150,000 ground troops in order to accomplish a change in a regime unless the people on the ground themselves want to accomplish that outcome.

Now, we're not going to send the troops in regardless, but to propose sending in the troops, you're basically saying that the U.S. military should do the job for the Iranian people.

We're not in that business anymore. We're just not.

Trump chaired a Situation Room meeting Tuesday on a "massive offensive" against Iran, Axios reports. The discussion focused on "devastating strikes on strategic targets," far wider in scope than the current strikes around the Strait of Hormuz. JD Vance, Marco Rubio and Pete Hegseth were among those present.

Trump: Iran "better make a deal" or they are "not going to have anything left."

Asked about Vice President Vance's remark that Israel is the United States' "only ally," Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. Yechiel Leiter said:

“I have attended dozens of meetings with the VP, and despite all sorts of popular perceptions, I have not detected even a hint of hostility towards Israel or towards the PM. If I were writing this speech, I might have worded some of the things a little differently. I just don't think it's true. I mean, we just received an invitation from India. ...Our relationship with the UAE has never been stronger. We have a wonderful relationship with a small Shiite country called Azerbaijan, with which we cooperate in oil exploration, along with trade, security cooperation and tourism. We just recognized the Armenian Genocide. Our relationship with Armenia today is very, very good..."

Vance: "The Iranians were like, 'Fine, we'll send somebody from the IRGC to go hang out in Doha with somebody from CENTCOM,' and that's how we're going to settle a lot of these disputes."

JD Vance on Turkey’s F-35 jets:

Pete and the entire team are reviewing this right now, because there are certain things that we have to certify have happened - that have happened in order to comply with American law. The president has asked us to do that.

We're running the traps and confirming that's happened.

This is really a congressional thing, and ensuring that Türkiye has complied with American law so they can get the F-35s. We will announce that when we have-
