IDF says it carried out a precise airstrike in Tehran, killing Jamshid Eshaqi, head of Iran’s Oil Headquarters, whom the military says oversaw funding for the regime’s military buildup and proxies including Hezbollah and the Houthis.
The IDF confirms Jamshid Eshaghi, a senior Iranian general, was killed in a weekend airstrike in Iran.
Eshaghi headed Iran’s “oil headquarters” and oversaw budget and financial affairs at the armed forces general staff, coordinating between the army and IRGC.
The IDF says the unit funds military activity through oil revenues, often bypassing sanctions.
The IRGC confirmed his death following Saturday’s strike.
