A U.S. official stated that Iranian officials contacted the administration following two days of skirmishes earlier this week, expressing a desire for further talks to resolve the dispute.

"Why did Bibi do this attack? Hezbollah fired and hit the middle of nowhere. No one was hurt. And then he had to do this fucking attack - and in Beirut," Trump said, per Barak Ravid. He said Netanyahu showed "no fucking judgment."
Trump said he got a call about the Beirut strike "an hour before we were supposed to sign the agreement" and "couldn't believe this was happening." The signing was delayed but Trump said he expects it to go ahead within hours.
He said the deal is still good for Israel - preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon, allowing 24-hour notice inspections of suspicious sites, and eliminating Iran's enriched uranium stockpile.
