The U.S. House rejected a Democratic war powers resolution that would have required Trump to remove American troops from hostilities in Lebanon.

The measure, introduced by Rep. Rashida Tlaib, failed. 22 Democrats opposed it and 2 Republicans supported it.

House Democratic leaders argued the resolution was unnecessary, saying no U.S. troops are currently engaged in combat in Lebanon.
