The Syrian Army is participating in Turkey's EFES-2026 combined military exercise with a core unit, the first time Syrian forces have joined a drill outside the country since Syria's restructuring.
502 Libyan troops drawn from both eastern and western factions are also taking part under a single Libyan flag. It marks the first time Libya's military has trained outside its own borders.
EFES-2026 is Turkey's largest combined live-fire exercise of the year, bringing together more than 10,000 troops and observers from approximately 50 countries.
