New details on the Board of Peace disarmament agreement with Hamas, per sources familiar with the deal:

Light and heavy weapons will be moved to designated storage facilities and dismantled there. The depots will be controlled by the NCAG police force, whose officers are all vetted by the Shin Bet, with a multinational force overseeing the process.

Civilians may only keep light weapons "subject to Palestinian law." The maximum permitted personal weapon would be a handgun, licensed by the Palestinian technocratic government.

Israel will cease fire once the process begins. An initial two-week ceasefire is meant to finalize implementation. If Hamas fails to start disarming, the ceasefire is considered violated and ends.

Israel's withdrawal from the 53% "Yellow Line" only happens after full demilitarization is complete.

Amid reports that a deal with Hamas on disarmament could be signed soon, a diplomat familiar with the negotiations told i24NEWS that talks with the mediators are continuing in Cairo and are making progress.

The source said the Peace Council continues to advance the roadmap, known as the Trump Peace Plan, under which all weapons would be dismantled and authority would be transferred in stages to a technocratic government.

“There will be no exceptions for certain weapons or certain individuals. One authority, one law, one weapon. The roadmap establishes a comprehensive process to eliminate all tunnels, weapons stockpiles, and weapons production facilities.”

The source added that once the process is complete, no terrorist infrastructure will remain in the Gaza Strip, Hamas will have no role, either openly or behind the scenes under a Hezbollah style model, and all weapons, both heavy and light, will be placed under the full control of the NCAG in coordination with and supported by the ISF.

The plan includes the construction of temporary housing for Gaza residents. According to reports, anyone seeking to live in these areas will undergo strict security screening to ensure they are not affiliated with Hamas.

The Rafah zone would become the first area administered by the Palestinian technocratic government (NCAG), backed by the multinational International Stabilization Force (ISF).
