A man close to Hezbollah was arrested for allegedly spying for Israel, a Lebanese judicial official told AFP. Mohammad Ali Shamseddine was detained at Beirut airport while preparing to fly to Iraq. The official says he used trips between Iraq and Turkey to meet people linked to Mossad and pass on targets in Beirut. His proximity to senior Hezbollah figures gave him access to internal movements and intelligence, later tied to the killing of several commanders, including four senior security figures.

Former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad attended Saturday's meeting of the Economic Committee of the Council for Discerning the Interests of the Regime, according to Iranian reports. This comes a day after the New York Times reported he was being held under house arrest by the Revolutionary Guards' intelligence organization over his alleged connections to Israel and the Mossad.

A New York Times investigation reports Mossad Chief David Barnea personally met former Iranian President Ahmadinejad in Budapest in 2024 to recruit him as an intelligence asset, aiming to install him as Iran's leader after the regime's overthrow.

On February 28, an Israeli airstrike struck Ahmadinejad's compound, hitting his bodyguards' building and armored vehicle. A black Peugeot then arrived, picked him up and sped him from the chaotic scene.

American and Iranian officials familiar with the operation say Mossad operatives drove the car and moved him to a secret safe house in Iran. Ahmadinejad was reportedly upset by the rescue and disappointed with the Israeli plan to return him to power.

Almost the entire leadership of the Islamic regime was out in the open during Khamenei’s funeral.

The last time Larijani appeared publicly, Israeli intelligence tracked him, and Israel eliminated him days later.

You can best believe Mossad monitored the leadership. President Trump has many options if that scenario arises. This is additional leverage.

Iranian nationals recruited and trained by the Mossad carried out the ground operation seen in footage from the opening minutes of Operation Rising Lion, not Israeli operatives.

The agents had returned to Iran years earlier, living ordinary civilian lives until activated in spring 2025.

A joint Mossad-IAF team assigned them to knock out an air-defense facility to clear Israeli jets over Tehran.

Weapons, drones and missile components were smuggled in, broken into parts and hidden inside everyday objects.

Final target coordinates reached the teams only shortly before launch.

Additional Mossad-run cells were activated the same night, helping guide strikes on senior IRGC aerospace commanders and disabling air-defense and ballistic-missile systems across Tehran and western Iran. - Ynet

Iran’s Intelligence Ministry claims it foiled an alleged Mossad-backed assassination plot and arrested several suspects across the country.

Officials say a 4-member cell was detained in West Azerbaijan Province before it could target sensitive facilities and carry out an assassination in Tehran. One suspect was reportedly killed during the operation, while 3 others were arrested.

Iranian authorities also claim they dismantled another operational network in Kerman and Alborz provinces before it could act.

According to the ministry, security forces seized micro-drones, Starlink equipment, silenced pistols, rifles, body armor, a specially outfitted vehicle, and large quantities of ammunition.

Separately, Tehran says it arrested a man identified as “Masoud T.” near Iran’s northern border, accusing him of attempting to smuggle classified documents from a military site in Qazvin Province out of the country.
