Iran’s largest steel producer, Mobarakeh Steel Company, has completely shut down all production lines, saying severe damage from repeated airstrikes made continued operations impossible. Employees have been told not to return to the plant until further notice.
Iran’s Mehr News Agency reports airstrikes struck Khuzestan Steel in Ahvaz and Mobarakeh Steel near Isfahan, and also hit Mobarakeh’s power plant. Mobarakeh Steel is Iran’s largest steelmaker.
