Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesperson:

Our position regarding Lebanon is clear. America's commitment to ending the war on all fronts, especially Lebanon, is important to us, according to paragraph one of the memorandum of understanding

America must adhere to its commitments and, if necessary, force the Zionist regime to implement its commitments, because the Islamic Republic of Iran's side in this memorandum of understanding is America.

Whatever is agreed upon or not, outside of this memorandum, our criterion for measuring America's adherence to its commitments is the text of the memorandum of understanding.'

Iran foreign ministry spokesperson:

‘If power is not proven in war, it will not be proven through exaggeration after agreement either. Agreement stands on the shoulders of respect and fidelity to reality; and any self-congratulatory narrative constructed to compensate for past failures will, above all, destroy that very process of agreement. Then, defeat and failure extend beyond the battlefield and seep into the negotiating table as well.’

Ismail Baghaei, spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, warned that any continuation of Israeli attacks on Lebanon would constitute a violation of the other side’s obligations under the memorandum of understanding.

“We make no distinction between the United States and the Israeli regime, although differences in their methods and approaches are entirely clear.”
He added that the Israeli regime is unwilling to allow even the smallest opportunity for any diplomatic process to proceed. Nevertheless, he stressed that it is the responsibility of the United States to compel the Israeli regime to respect America’s commitments to Iran under the agreement.
