Hamas: Turkish intelligence chief Ibrahim Kalin congratulated Khalil al-Hiya by phone on his election as political bureau head.

Khaled Mashal named deputy head of Hamas's political bureau after coming second in the leadership vote won by Khalil al-Hayya, a Hamas source told A-Sharq. Zaher Jabarin is set to become chief negotiator. Hamas keeps its base split between Qatar and Turkey.

Zahar Jabarin is expected to replace al-Hiya as Hamas's chief negotiator, a source tells N12.

The leadership also decided to keep its headquarters split between Qatar and Turkey for now.

The IDF announces it killed Osama Kamal Shehadeh Abu Teim, a commander of a cell in Hamas's military wing, in a strike Sunday in the southern Gaza Strip.

On October 7, 2023, Abu Teim raided Kibbutz Nir Oz and took part in abducting Nurit Cooper, Amiram Cooper, and Alexander Dancyg. The military says he continued advancing attacks on troops and Israeli civilians during the war.

IDF and Shin Bet: The head of the operations department of Hamas' Gaza City Brigade, terrorist Adham Ibrahim Shaaban Nasman, has been ELIMINATED.

Nasman crossed into Israel during the October 7 invasion and held many hostages in captivity in Gaza, among them Romi Gonen, Emily Damari, Ziv and Gali Berman, Eitan Mor, Matan Angrest and Omri Miran.

Two drivers delivering aid were assaulted and a WFP warehouse raided after Hamas gunmen stormed a UN food distribution site in Jabalia, northern Gaza. Food distributions were halted, per the UN.

According to a report by Israel’s Channel 12, newly revealed handwritten notes attributed to Yahya Sinwar show that, while planning the October 7 attack, he acknowledged Israel might respond with overwhelming force, writing that it could even use a nuclear bomb on Gaza. Despite that assessment, he concluded the operation should proceed, reflecting a willingness to accept even the most catastrophic consequences to achieve Hamas’s objectives.
