Italy has approved new school rules barring burqas and niqabs from classrooms and capping students with weak Italian at 30% per class. Hijabs are still permitted. Schools that ignore the cap face fines of up to €1,000. Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said the decree is meant to strengthen integration and avoid "ghetto classes."
