Mohammad Eslami, head of Irans Atomic Energy Organization says that ‘Iran has moved beyond testing nuclear fusion technology and has started building parts and equipment for a fusion system.’
(Nuclear fusion is the process that powers the Sun. If mastered, it could eventually produce huge amounts of energy, but Iran is still very far from a working fusion power plant.)
The IAEA is investigating an attack on the construction site of Iran's Darkhovin nuclear plant in Khuzestan. It confirmed no nuclear material was present at the last inspection. Iran's AEOI blamed the U.S. for the strike.
