Iraqi National Arrested in NYC on Terror Charges
Mohammad Baqer Saad Dawood al-Saadi, an Iraqi national, has been arrested and brought to New York to face federal terrorism charges. Al-Saadi allegedly served as a coordinator for Ashab al-Yamin, an Iran-backed group, orchestrating nearly 20 attacks across Europe. He also allegedly directed plots specifically targeting U.S. synagogues and Jewish institutions. The FBI moved to arrest him after determining that his operations were being expanded to American soil.
