NEW: Alma Research warns that the new Iraq to Syria oil corridor, built to reduce reliance on the Strait of Hormuz, could also become a new Iranian smuggling route for Hezbollah and other Iran terror groups.
Since April, hundreds of tanker trucks have crossed into Syria each day. Alma says the route has already been used in an attempted weapons shipment to Hezbollah, and warns that weaker border oversight could allow Iran to exploit the expanding trade corridor.
