Pro-Iranian militias in Iraq have hardened their conditions for laying down their weapons, an Iraqi government source told Qatar's Al-Arabi Al-Jadid.

Among the demands: withdrawal of American and Turkish forces from Iraq, an end to U.S. political and economic sponsorship of the country, dissolution of the Kurdish forces in their northern autonomy, entry of the Iraqi army into the Kurdish region, and the acquisition of more advanced air defense systems.

A report in the Qatari newspaper Al-Araby Al-Jadid claims the Israeli strikes on Abu al-Dahour airport in northwestern Syria were carried out after a Turkish military delegation visited the site for the purpose of restoring the runway.

Pakistani-led mediation for an Iran-U.S. ceasefire has intensified in recent days but produced no significant movement, the pro-Qatari Al-Arabi Al-Jadid reports.

Two challenges remain: the Strait of Hormuz and the guarantees Iran demands. A Pakistani Foreign Ministry source says Iran's insistence on the Strait is the central obstacle. Efforts now focus on returning both sides to a memorandum of understanding with changes Iran wants. Washington has yet to respond.

Palestinian sources told Qatari-owned Al-Arabi Al-Jadid that mediators informed Hamas the U.S. administration is serious about a Gaza solution "even if it angers Netanyahu."

The mediators also told Hamas that Netanyahu's opposition to the roadmap for phase two of Trump's plan is "only a statement," and the agreement will be implemented without changes.

Iran has delivered sharp messages to the U.S. through intermediaries over the past two days, an Iranian source told Al-Arabi Al-Jadid.

Both the effort to establish an alternative shipping route bypassing the Strait of Hormuz and recent American strikes are seen by Tehran as a direct threat to the memorandum of understanding.

Iran is now considering suspending technical negotiations with Washington unless what it calls American violations cease.

A source in Pakistan's Foreign Ministry told Qatar's Al-Arabi Al-Jadid that Israeli operations in Lebanon are straining U.S.-Iran understandings and that Washington bears responsibility for pressuring Israel to stop bombing and withdraw. The planned U.S.-Iran meeting in Switzerland was postponed over disagreements on the agenda, with outstanding issues still requiring resolution before talks can begin.
