98th Division

IDF releases footage of a firefight between Israeli paratroopers and a Hezbollah operative in Bint Jbeil, southern Lebanon.

The military says troops of the 98th Division killed around 200 Hezbollah operatives in the town in recent weeks and destroyed 900 terror infrastructures, including a booby-trapped stadium.

IDF: The 98th Division has encircled Bint Jbeil and begun an assault on the town.

More than 100 Hezbollah operatives killed in close-quarters and aerial combat over the past week. Dozens of terror sites destroyed, hundreds of weapons found.

The soccer field in Bint Jbeil where Nasrallah delivered his famous 2000 "Spider's Web" speech has been destroyed. The IDF now controls the town.

98th Division commander Brig. Gen. Guy Levy to his troops: "The man who boasted about webs and spiders no longer exists. Neither does the field. His words are worth nothing."

The IDF says it has deployed a sixth division to southern Lebanon, with the elite 98th Division launching new targeted ground operations.

Troops have completed positions along a forward “anti-tank line” and are continuing operations to push back Hezbollah threats.
