A new armed faction, the Free Yemen Movement, has declared an uprising against the Houthis from inside Sanaa:

"We announce an armed uprising against the Houthi movement from within Sanaa due to the crimes committed by Iran and the Houthis.

This uprising comes in response to the Houthis' starvation, looting, theft, and killing of Yemenis, as well as their violation of Yemen's sovereignty and implementation of Iranian directives".

Houthi Defense Minister Al-Atifi warned Saudi Arabia and its allies of reciprocal strikes on airports and ports if the blockade on Yemen continues, claiming the Houthis now have the capabilities to enforce it.

BREAKING: ATTACK: HOUTHIS

The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) says it received a report of an illegal boarding involving a vessel about 65 nautical miles south of Al Mukalla, Yemen, in the Gulf of Aden.

According to military authorities, unauthorized personnel boarded the vessel while it was transiting eastbound. The incident is under investigation.

UKMTO is advising ships in the area to exercise caution and report any suspicious activity.

After Saudi Arabia bombed Sana’a Airport, a Mahan Air Airbus A340 landed at Al Hudaydah Airport in Yemen.

UKMTO: 'UKMTO has received a report of an incident 50NM south of Aden, Yemen.

A tanker travelling east in the IRTC has reported being approached by 6 small boats approaching from the starboard side.

One small boat has closed to 5 cables and the AST on board the tanker has fired warning shots.

The other 5 small boats have remained at 1NM. Authorities are investigating.

Vessels are advised to transit with caution and report any suspicious activity to UKMTO'

Yemen's Foreign Ministry: "The Saudi regime has declared the start of the war, and it must bear full responsibility for this and for any consequences of this criminal act."

The Yemeni Armed Forces warned Tehran of severe consequences over what they called a blatant violation of Yemen's airspace and sovereignty by Iran.

Yemeni Government Defense Minister:
The government has exhausted all diplomatic means to persuade Iran and the Houthis to reconsider their actions and stop violating Yemen’s airspace. We have repeatedly urged both parties to cease these violations.

Our patience has now run out. We will respond appropriately to these infringements.

We hold Iran fully responsible, both legally and morally for any violation of Yemen’s airspace.

UKMTO says a cargo ship issued a distress alert after coming under attack by unknown armed assailants about 30 nautical miles southwest of Al Hudaydah, Yemen.

Authorities are investigating, and vessels in the area have been advised to exercise caution.

UKMTO has reclassified an incident 76NM south of Balhaf, Yemen as an illegal boarding. Armed personnel damaged the bridge and several adjacent compartments before departing on a small craft with 4 aboard, armed with RPG. The crew remain secure in the citadel and are safe. The craft is still active in the area.

Yemen's Saudi-backed legitimate government is readying its forces to renew the fight against the Houthis, who hold parts of the country.
