PM Netanyahu on Turkey:

Erdogan speaks about wanting to destroy Israel and take control of Jerusalem again.

I think he forgot that 400 years of Ottoman rule are over. Today there is a strong State of Israel.

He should calm down. We will not allow anyone to threaten our existence or our security, and I think we have shown what we are capable of.

Reporter: Turkey wants F-35 fighter jets. Are you going to Turkey with a big gift bag?

Trump: Yeah. I think so. He’s a member of NATO. I'm going to probably do something that's gonna make him very happy. Except for the fact that it was being held in Turkey by President Erdogan, I don't think I would have gone to it.

Rutte: You would come for me?

The Shin Bet says it thwarted dozens of Hamas terror plots in the Judea and Samaria area over the past year that were directed by Hamas operatives based in Turkey.

According to the agency, Hamas’s West Bank Headquarters operates from Istanbul, recruiting attackers, transferring weapons and funds, and coordinating attacks inside Israel and the West Bank.

The Shin Bet identified senior Hamas officials Zaher Jabarin and Ayman Abu Khalil, along with several other operatives based in Turkey, accusing them of financing, recruiting, and supporting terror activity while operating freely from Turkish territory.

A Syrian source close to the Damascus government says Turkey has recently advised Ahmad al-Sharaa against being drawn into a confrontation with Hezbollah inside Lebanon. Ankara's calculation is that Hezbollah's complete destruction would strengthen Israel - an outcome it considers undesirable.

Working against Turkey's efforts, Trump said this week that al-Sharaa wants to assist in the fight against Hezbollah. Al-Sharaa is expected in Washington next week, where Trump may try to enlist him on the Hezbollah issue despite Turkish objections.

Syrian President al-Shara says reports about Syria entering Lebanon are "nothing more than rumors."

According to Hezbollah-affiliated al-Akhbar, messages relayed from Damascus to Hezbollah through Turkey and other regional channels confirm Syria has no intention of intervening in Lebanon, regardless of reported U.S. requests.

Any involvement would only happen with Turkish support. Turkey meanwhile is expressing concern over Lebanese concessions to Israel in ongoing negotiations, especially regarding the maritime border with Cyprus.

Al-Shara advised Lebanese PM Nawaf Salam not to offer concessions without reciprocal guarantees, drawing on Syria's own experience - noting that despite tolerating Israeli occupation of southern Syria, Israel refused to sign a security agreement when Damascus sought one.
