Sana'a

Sana'a is the capital and largest city of Yemen, located in a mountainous region at 2,300 meters elevation. Known as the seat of Houthi control since 2014, it serves as the political and military hub for Ansarullah operations across Yemen and the wider region. A new armed faction, the Free Yemen Movement, has declared an uprising against the Houthis from inside Sanaa:

"We announce an armed uprising against the Houthi movement from within Sanaa due to the crimes committed by Iran and the Houthis.

This uprising comes in response to the Houthis' starvation, looting, theft, and killing of Yemenis, as well as their violation of Yemen's sovereignty and implementation of Iranian directives".

When Saudi Arabia commits an act of aggression, we will no longer just accept it.

Pro-Iranian media reports an Iranian civilian plane landed today at Sana'a international airport, the Houthi-held capital of Yemen. If confirmed, it would be the second Iranian landing there recently. The first came over a week and a half ago at the start of Ali Khamenei's funeral rites, bringing senior Houthi officials to the funeral and returning wounded and Yemeni citizens stranded abroad. Houthi opposition outlets dispute the latest account, saying the aircraft belonged to the UN and carried officials and humanitarian teams from Djibouti.

Tribes in Yemen's al-Jawf are mobilizing against the Houthis over the arrest of a Sana'a woman known as "Mira." The al-Yatma tribes, historically neutral or pro-Ansarullah, are threatening military action if she isn't released. Mira claims to be a daughter of Saddam Hussein. She allegedly entered Yemen in 2003 and was hidden under a new identity by the Saleh government.
