Footage has emerged showing two helicopters colliding mid-air over Rio de Janeiro's Recreio dos Bandeirantes neighborhood. Six people were killed, including singer Oliver Tree.
Around 200 tourists were temporarily stranded on Morro Dois Irmãos, a well known hiking peak in Rio de Janeiro’s Vidigal area, after a police raid targeting the Comando Vermelho, one of Brazil’s largest criminal gangs.
Gunfire broke out during the operation, forcing visitors to stay on the mountain for safety.
