According to Alma Research, the IDF foiled a Hezbollah plot to destroy the Qaraoun Dam and trigger massive flooding in an effort to block IDF forces from crossing the Litani River and advancing toward Beaufort Castle and the Ali al-Taher Ridge.
Overnight, the IDF has captured the Beaufort Castle.
The IDF revealed that Hezbollah operatives tried to interfere with operations at Lebanon's Qaraoun Dam earlier this week and were hit by airstrikes. The dam is Lebanon's biggest water source and a key piece of national infrastructure for energy and agriculture. The IDF said it holds the Lebanese state responsible for protecting the site from exploitation by Hezbollah.
IDF hit near the Qaraoun dam in the Bekaa Valley on Tuesday. The Litani River Authority said the strike landed about 500 meters from the previous one, throwing stones and debris into the lake. No damage to the dam itself.
