Ovda Airbase

Two U.S. fighter squadrons landed at Ovda Airbase in southern Israel over the past day, joining American jets already there.

Israeli security officials: the move is a rotation, not an escalation, and the U.S. remains "very far" from its prewar buildup against Iran.

Col. G., commander of Ovda Airbase, has been promoted to Brig. Gen. and named Israel's air attaché in Washington, making her the most senior woman in the history of the Israeli Air Force.

A 23-year-old from Eilat, Israel, has been indicted for allegedly working with Iranian intelligence, filming sensitive sites including Ovda Airbase.

Prosecutors say he was recruited via Telegram, carried out missions inside the base and nearby routes, and was paid via PayPal and digital wallets. He reportedly continued cooperating even after suspecting the contact was Iranian. (Source: N12)
