Iran proposed to Muscat that it manage one-way shipping transit through its side of the Strait of Hormuz, with Oman handling the opposite direction, the deputy foreign minister said.
An external explosion struck a tanker 60 nautical miles east of Muscat, Oman, hitting near the waterline at the port-side stern. Crew and vessel are safe. Some fuel leaked into the sea.
