Police have identified the Midland, Texas shooter as 45-year-old Victor Mata Villarreal, who opened fire on officers and bystanders before barricading himself inside a building.
Villarreal, who was wanted in connection with the attempted capital murder of a peace officer on Wednesday, was later found dead. One victim was killed and 10 others were injured. No officers were injured.
