IDF Updates Civil Defense Guidelines

The IDF Home Front Command updated its civil defense guidelines. Northern confrontation-line communities, including Meron, Bar Yochai, Yesod HaMa'ala, Beit Jann, and several others, will move to partial activity from Tuesday 6:00 AM through Wednesday 8:00 PM. Schools and workplaces may operate only where a protected space is reachable in time. Outdoor gatherings are limited to 100 people, indoor to 400. All other areas shift to unrestricted full activity. Current policy holds until Tuesday morning.

IDF Limits Meron Gathering to 1500

Next week marks the anniversary of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai’s passing, 200,000 to 400,000 people usually gather in Meron to celebrate, pray, dance and light bonfires in his honor.

Meron is roughly 10 km from the border with Lebanon.

The IDF will now limit this event to 1500 people.

IDF Limits Gatherings in North Israel

IDF: Following a situational assessment, gathering limits of up to 1,500 people have been imposed in the Confrontation Line area and the communities of Meron, Bar Yohai, Or HaGanuz, and Safsufa. (Northern Israel Communities)
