IDF Plans Security Zone in S. Lebanon

The IDF plans to present a new security zone in southern Lebanon for political approval, involving extensive demolition of villages near the border where Hezbollah operated.

The zone will span 2–3 km, with buildings and infrastructure destroyed to prevent future militant activity.

Villages affected include Kfar Kila, Yaron, Khula, Ayita al-Sha’ab, among others.

Some Christian villages within the zone may remain inhabited; most are located beyond 3 km from the buffer.
