Eight nations -- Qatar, Jordan, the UAE, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Egypt -- issued a joint statement condemning what they called ongoing Israeli violations in Gaza. They cited strikes on medical facilities and civilian infrastructure and warned the escalation threatens the second phase of the plan and the diplomatic track.

Jordanian Deputy Parliament Speaker Khamis Atieh: "The Zionists cannot be trusted, the Jews deceived the prophets. We do not recognize the division of Jerusalem into East and West, we want all of it, all of Palestine. The Zionist entity is a cancer."

IRGC publishes footage showing missile launches toward Jordan.

Jordan says it intercepted five Iranian missiles today. No casualties. The IRGC claims it targeted Al Azraq air base over a U.S. strike it says came from Jordanian soil.

Trump on the Iranian attack on Jordan last night:

It was a surprise attack. U.S. forces had just minutes to shoot down Iranian missiles.

Trump: The U.S. will strike Iran in response to attacks on American targets in Jordan.

As I have previously reported, Iran has been sending its proxies to attack Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Israel with drones and in some cases missiles in the last few days.

They act on behalf of the IRGC.

Apparently, the U.S. naval blockade on Iran is very painful, and tonight shows.

This doesn’t appear to be ending any time soon.

UPDATE: CENTCOM says all missiles were intercepted

In regard to the Iranian surprise attack on U.S. bases in Jordan just now:

1. This was a planned event across the board

2. There is a major disconnect between the IRGC and Iran’s political negotiating team.

I’m leaning towards number 2

Just so we are aware, this is an Iranian attack on US assets in Jordan.

U.S. Patriot air defense systems have been activated in central Jordan and are attempting to intercept Iranian missiles.

According to preliminary reports, 6 missiles were launched.

Jordan under attack from Iran, breaking the understanding.

Over the past 16 days, Jordan's Armed Forces intercepted 70 ballistic missiles and 25 drones launched by Iran, state agency Petra reports.

Something interesting is happening.

While Iran has halted its direct attacks, it appears to have shifted pressure to its proxies. Overnight, Iran backed militias in Iraq launched around 20 drones toward Israel, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia.

If this pattern continues, I would not be surprised if Israel eventually strikes the Iran backed militias in Iraq. Keep an eye on this.

Earlier this morning, the IAF intercepted a UAV detected along the Jordanian border. The aircraft did not cross into Israeli territory. No alerts were triggered per protocol. Launch origin under investigation.

Jordan’s air force shot down a drone that entered the country’s airspace early on Tuesday, the military said, adding that the drone was downed in the eastern desert in accordance with established rules of engagement.
