Country in Middle East

Jordan

Jordan is a Hashemite Kingdom in the Middle East, bordering Israel, Syria, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia. Known for its pro-Western alignment, custodianship of Islamic holy sites in Jerusalem, and role as a regional stability anchor. Recently, Jordan has sustained repeated Iranian ballistic missile and drone attacks on its military bases hosting U.S. forces, while actively intercepting threats. Last updated 3 days ago

Saudi FM Faisal bin Farhan, at an Arab foreign ministers summit in Jordan:

"East Jerusalem is the capital of the Palestinian state. All unilateral measures -- settlements, land confiscation, and changes to the status quo at the holy places -- are invalid and cannot establish any legal reality."

He said Jerusalem, including Al-Aqsa, is under continuous violations aimed at damaging its Islamic and Christian identity, and condemned Israel's "military violations" in Gaza as a direct provocation of the ceasefire agreement.

Alerts

As I have previously reported, Iran has been sending its proxies to attack Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Israel with drones and in some cases missiles in the last few days.

They act on behalf of the IRGC.

Apparently, the U.S. naval blockade on Iran is very painful, and tonight shows.

This doesn’t appear to be ending any time soon.

Alerts

Something interesting is happening.

While Iran has halted its direct attacks, it appears to have shifted pressure to its proxies. Overnight, Iran backed militias in Iraq launched around 20 drones toward Israel, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia.

If this pattern continues, I would not be surprised if Israel eventually strikes the Iran backed militias in Iraq. Keep an eye on this.
