Hungary lifted its two-year veto on Ukraine joining the European Union. Kyiv and Moldova can now both advance accession talks with Brussels.

Sanctions against Israel are currently being blocked due to Hungary's veto.

However, I believe this veto will be lifted (with new Hungary PM) and that these sanctions will be implemented in the coming days.”

Russian oil flows to Hungary and Slovakia will resume "within a few hours" after Ukraine completed repairs to the Druzhba pipeline, damaged by a Russian strike, a Kyiv official told AFP.

The EU is looking to push through a €90 billion loan for Ukraine with Hungarian PM Viktor Orbán's government on the way out, according to Bloomberg, citing a Cypriot official. Orbán had blocked the loan. His expected successor, Peter Magyar, is expected to allow it.
