Why is the U.S. hitting bridges and infrastructure in southern Iran?

While the exact operational intent is not public, one possible explanation is that these strikes are aimed at disrupting Iran’s logistics network. Bridges, rail junctions, and key transport routes move troops, equipment, and supplies toward the Gulf coast and nearby islands.

If the U.S. were planning future operations around islands such as Abu Musa, Greater Tunb, or Lesser Tunb, degrading the road and rail network could make it more difficult for Iran to reinforce or resupply those positions. At a minimum, these strikes appear consistent with efforts to slow military movement and complicate logistics in southern Iran.

IRGC Warns UAE Over Iranian Islands

BREAKING 🔴

IRGC spokesman warns the UAE that if any aggression is launched from its territory toward the Iranian islands of "Abu Musa" and Greater Tunb in the Persian Gulf, Iran will put Ras Al Khaimah "under direct and crushing strikes."
This comes after the IRGC has launched hundreds of missiles and drones at the UAE without coming under a direct response from the Gulf... At least not yet
