Abelardo de la Espriella, who was endorsed by U.S. President Donald Trump, has won Colombia’s presidential election, according to EFE.
Colombia heads to a runoff. Far-right candidate Abelardo de la Espriella took 43.7% in the first round. Leftwing senator Iván Cepeda, backed by President Petro, finished second with 40.9%.
