A hot mic at the G7 caught Macron urging Zelensky to extend his stay at the summit. Zelensky told him he needed to return to Brussels. When Macron asked whether a one-on-one with Trump had been arranged, Zelensky appeared to say no - at which point both realized the mics were live and dropped their voices.

Trump later announced an impromptu bilateral with Zelensky that same day.

Orbán warned that abandoning Hungary's patriotic stance would be "a huge strategic mistake" with a heavy price.

Leaders

Péter Magyar:

In this spirit, my first trip will be to Poland, to strengthen the thousand-year-old Polish-Hungarian friendship.

My second trip will lead to Vienna, and the third to Brussels, so that we can bring home the EU funds that the Hungarian people are entitled to.
