The Joint Chiefs of Staff General Gen. Dan Caine outlines Project Freedom:

"On the surface, guided missile destroyers and other warships are detecting and defeating Iranian threats. This includes fast boats and one-way attack drones. In the air, more than 100 fighters, attack aircraft, and other manned and unmanned aircraft, synchronized by the 82nd Airborne Division are in the air 24 hours a day, providing defensive overwatch for the enhanced security area."

We’ve shot down seven small Boats or, as they like to call them, “fast” Boats. It’s all they have left. Other than the South Korean Ship, there has been, at this moment, no damage going through the Strait. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Dan Caine, will have a News Conference tomorrow morning.

Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Dan Caine: "We need a timely, predictable, and sustained investment. The resources we've discussed today are critical to modernizing our force and ensuring that whatever threats emerge in the future, that your joint force is ready to meet those challenges to protect our interests and defend our nation."

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Dan Caine on American warships:

"These ships are armed to the teeth with surface to air missiles, land attack cruise missiles, anti-ship missiles, anti-submarine rockets, torpedoes, five inch naval guns, multiple electronic warfare systems."

"But far and away, the most important weapon on board these ships is the American sailor."

Gen. Dan Caine on the U.S. blockade of Iran:

"You can see that the captain of all captains of all these ships have made the wise decision not to move transit or run this blockade."

"As I mentioned so far, 13 ships have made the wise choice of turning around."

"US Central Command has not been required to board any particular ships."

"And I'll remind you that we are also conducting similar maritime interdiction actions and activities in the Pacific AOR against those ships that left that area before we began the blockade."

Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff Dan Caine:

We attacked more than 13,000 targets in Iran, of which 4,000 were dynamic targets.

80% of the Iranian air defense system was destroyed (1,500 targets).

450 ballistic missile storage facilities and 800 UAV storage facilities were destroyed.

More than 2,000 command and control points were destroyed.

We sank more than 90% of Iran's naval fleet - 150 ships are at the bottom of the sea, as well as half of the small attack boats of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards.

700 attacks were carried out against naval mines. We estimate that we destroyed more than 95% of their naval mines.

We destroyed Iran's defense industry base. Together with our partners, we attacked 90% of their weapons factories.

About 80% of Iran's nuclear industry base was damaged.

Operations

Gen. Dan Caine: Our two American troops trapped in Iran “always knew” the U.S. would come for them.

“They always knew that we would be ordered to go get them and they always knew that we would be coming to get them.”

“These two operations reflect our nation’s most sacred obligation to our military service members. We leave no one behind.”
