Iranian Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi:

Every time a diplomatic solution is on the table, the U.S. opts for a reckless military adventure. Is it a crude pressure tactic? Or the result of a spoiler once again duping POTUS into another quagmire?

Whatever the causes, the outcome is the same: Iranians never bow to pressure and diplomacy is always the victim.

Also, the CIA is wrong. Our missile inventory and launcher capacity are not at 75% compared to Feb 28. The correct figure is 120%.

As for our readiness to defend our people.

WAPO REPORT CLAIMS:

A confidential CIA assessment obtained by The Washington Post concludes Iran could withstand a U.S. naval blockade of the Strait of Hormuz for 90 to 120 days, and possibly longer. The report finds Tehran retains much of its missile and drone arsenal despite sustained U.S. and Israeli strikes, and has enough oil stockpiles and alternative smuggling routes to avoid immediate economic collapse.

Take this report with caution.

President Trump on the rescued airman: The U.S. closely tracked the mountain where he was hiding.

"It was the head of a human being, I'm telling you, it's moving. And then all of a sudden, 45 minutes later, he moved a lot. Stood up, and they stood way half of him. And that was really at the beginning of something incredible!"

"We had an idea where he was, but not specifically. That's a big mountain. So I want to thank the CIA too. I don't think they get enough credit for the great job they've done."

I don’t understand how the IRGC still tries to project military power when it can’t even control its own soil.

Within 48 hours you have a pilot and a WSO down inside Iran.

Then over 100 U.S. special forces enter your territory. Low flying helicopters across your mountains. C-130s landing inside Iran.

A-10s and MQ-9s overhead hitting anything that gets close. Iranian forces don’t even reach the area.

On the ground, U.S. teams reach the WSO after a firefight and clear the area, killing any and all IRGC fighters in their way.

CIA runs a deception campaign, sending Iranian forces in the wrong direction.

No U.S. deaths. No captures.

Bottom line, when any real forces show up, the IRGC cannot stop them on their own soil. Very embarrassing.
