NOW: Iranians report that a very loud explosion just rocked the southeastern port city of Chabahar, Iran.
The cause of the blast is currently “unknown.”

IRAN ARMY SPOX FULL;
The aggressive, terrorist, and pirate U.S. military violated the ceasefire by targeting an Iranian oil tanker traveling from Iran’s coastal waters near Jask toward the Strait of Hormuz, as well as another vessel entering the Strait of Hormuz near the Emirati port of Fujairah.
At the same time, with the cooperation of some regional countries, they carried out air attacks on civilian areas along the coasts of Bandar Khamir, Sirik, and Qeshm Island.
The Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran immediately responded by attacking U.S. military vessels east of the Strait of Hormuz and south of the port of Chabahar, reportedly inflicting significant damage on them.

The U.S. Navy says it has now intercepted or redirected at least 7 Iranian linked vessels since the blockade began.
Touska, April 19. Hard seizure. USS Spruance fired on it, Marines boarded.
M/T Tifani, April 21. Boarded in the Indian Ocean. Still loitering nearby.
M/T Majestic X, April 23. Boarded in the Indian Ocean.
Sevan, April 25. Redirected by USS Pinckney helicopter. Escorted back to Iran.
Hero II. Intercepted earlier this week. Now anchored at Chabahar.
Hedy. Intercepted earlier this week. Also anchored at Chabahar.
Dorena. Currently under escort of a U.S. Navy destroyer in the Indian Ocean.
Most of these ships left before the blockade and had a head start.
The real test is the next wave. According to marine trackers there are a few ships that departed Iranian ports after the blockade began on April 13 that are still at sea, many running dark with no AIS.
If the U.S. intercepts those too, the blockade is real.
If they get through, Iran found the gap.
Watch the Indian Ocean late April into early May.
Iran Claims Strikes on US, Israeli Targets
Regime spokesman latest claims:
- We struck an American F-18 aircraft in Chabahar using a modern air defense system of the IRGC Navy
- The Iranian Army targeted the Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier with a ground-to-sea missile, forcing it to change its position
- We targeted "Israeli" military and security centers in Wave 80 in coordination and synchronization with Hezbollah
(I love his accent)
Video Shows SAM Fired at US Jet Over Iran
Video circulating online claims to show a U.S. Navy F/A-18 Super Hornet being engaged by an Iranian surface-to-air missile over Chabahar in southern Iran on Wednesday.
Important to note: I could not independently verify the authenticity of this video, but this event did happen based on other reporting.
Based on the footage, the Hornet appears to have (mostly?) evaded the missile.
CENTCOM Denies Iran Downed US Fighter
CENTCOM:
“🚫FALSE: The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced a U.S. F/A-18 fighter was struck over Chabahar using new advanced air defense systems.
✅TRUE: No U.S. fighter aircraft have been shot down by Iran.”
