Israel's first Boeing KC-46 "Gideon" refueling tanker has arrived from the U.S. The KC-46 outperforms Israel's existing tanker fleet in both fuel capacity and the number of aircraft it can refuel at once, boosting range for F-35s, F-15s, and F-16s. A minimum of six are expected.

Italy dropped Boeing's KC-46 Pegasus and signed a €1.4 billion contract with Airbus for six A330 MRTT tankers. Rome originally chose the KC-46 in 2022, canceled it in 2024. Italy is the 19th nation on the A330 platform.
