The IDF says Wednesday's wide-scale strikes across Lebanon killed at least 180 Hezbollah members. Targets included over 100 sites in southern Lebanon, the Beqaa Valley, and Beirut, including Radwan Force HQs, intelligence division headquarters, and weapons depots.

The IDF says strikes were carried out based on "precise, high-quality intelligence," enabling "simultaneous strikes in multiple areas within just one minute."

Lebanon's health ministry reported over 350 killed. It did not differentiate between civilians and combatants.

Israeli military official:

Hezbollah made a strategic miscalculation within 48 hours of the war in Iran erupting.

The ground operation in Lebanon is aimed at protecting northern residents and accelerating Hezbollah’s disarmament. The campaign is open-ended, with no geographic limits.

Officials say the operation will conclude only with the destruction of Hezbollah’s capabilities wherever they exist. The objective is to establish a new security reality south of the Litani, entirely free of Hezbollah. The Bekaa Valley and other distant areas are included in the target bank.

Clashes with Hezbollah have been limited and consistently ended in Israel’s favor. More than 600 operatives have been killed since the fighting began.

The Lebanese army failed to disarm Hezbollah or prevent its presence in southern Lebanon. Israeli officials say efforts to dismantle Hezbollah will intensify until it no longer functions as a military organization.

They add that Hezbollah remains operational due to continued Iranian funding and direction, describing the group as a military arm of Iran acting under Tehran’s orders.
