Beit Hanoun

IDF: A months-long engineering operation in Beit Hanoun, northern Gaza, uncovered and destroyed approximately 11 km of Hamas tunnel routes.

The 252nd Division and the Combat Engineering Corps' Yahalom unit carried out hundreds of drillings along the Yellow Line, demolishing underground infrastructure and hundreds of surface sites.

The IDF says it has demolished 14 km of Hamas tunnels in northern Gaza in recent months, concentrated near Beit Hanoun on the Israeli side of the ceasefire line.

The Gaza Division's Northern Brigade also killed some 70 operatives who violated ceasefire terms.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz: "We will turn the contact villages in southern Lebanon into areas like Beit Hanoun and Rafah in Gaza."
