ICYMI: Mafi, an Iranian national and U.S. permanent resident who entered the country in 2016, is accused of helping channel Iranian weapons to Sudan.
According to a newly unsealed criminal complaint in California:
* She and a co conspirator ran Atlas International Business, a shell company in Oman
* She allegedly brokered a €60 million deal, about $70.6 million, for Iranian Mohajer 6 armed drones for Sudan’s Defense Ministry
* Additional shipments included 55,000 bomb fuses, AK 47 rifles, and other weapons and ammunition
* The equipment was produced in Iran and routed to Sudan during the civil war
She is scheduled to appear in federal court in Los Angeles today.
